We want YOU to submit original works of poetry or short fiction to our Teen Poetry & Short Story Contest. We will be giving away awesome prizes for first, second and third in both categories. Plus, the winning writers will be published in our 3rd edition of Inkling Magazine.

WHO?
Teens ages 13 to 19.

WHAT?
We want YOU to submit original works of poetry or fiction to our Teen Poetry & Short Story Contest. Entries must be 1000 words or less. Our panel of WPL judges will be using basic judging criteria for each category to pick the winners. Teens are allowed to submit a maximum of 1 short story and 1 poem only.

WHY?
We will be giving away some awesome prizes for first, second, and third place in each category. Plus, the winning writers will have their work shared publicly in our Inkling Magazine (view past year's of Inkling Magazine).

WHEN?
Submissions will be accepted between Saturday, March 11 to Sunday, April 30 at 9PM EST. through our Teen Page on our website. Judging will take place in May, and winners will be contacted mid-May. Inkling Magazine will be released in mid-June.


HOW?
You can enter your submission(s) using the form below (available starting March 11). Please remember that you can only enter 1 poem and 1 short story. If you are submitting a poem AND a short story, please fill out the form TWICE (one submission for each category).

If you are submitting a poem AND a short story you will need to fill out this form TWICE (once for your poem and once for your short story). Please do NOT submit two entries on one form. As a reminder, participants can only enter 1 poem and 1 short story each into the contest. Good luck!
